Good and Evil and how they're currently perceived
In the daily lifes of most of the western people we meet Good and Evil in it's form as Right or Wrong. It is absolutely clear for everyone, what's right and what's wrong.
Or Not?
Though most western human lifeforms are well conditioned, and therefore have the same right and wrong programs in their minds, the number of people having different opinions is rising1. These people, that started looking at things from different viewpoints, are, or at least is that the common interpretation, wrong.
Or Not.
1 This will be (and is) a funny test for free speech, I believe.
Of Valuations and Relativity
A thing often forgotten about morals is that they are neither law by nature nor by god. They emerged to stabilise civilisation and are therefore not fixed, not free of failure and not unchangeable, as they are part of the social evolution of this species.
As speaking of social evolution, the social darwinistic viewpoints are a good example of unaccepted opinions. Mankind seems to be insulted if it's treated like every other animal. But as we can judge mass-dyings of animals as positive or negative for the species, this judgement can also be made upon men.
We all have our own point of view and our own values of good and evil. No wonder that these opinions often are conflicting, as the nature of change roots in war.
Discussions
As some of you are surely pretty aware, most people give a shit about their mind, and what goes on in there. The principle of morals never had the chance to get questioned, and so most discussions about this matter are useless. The good news is, though, that they're not the only ones out there.
